Founded in the year 2000, Joondalup United’s origins emanated from Beldon Thistle FC.
After seeking a move to the Joondalup Arena in a bid to upgrade their current facilities, a coaching disagreement saw the team splinter, with some moving back to Beldon Park to continue as Beldon F.C, while Joondalup United was born out of the players who stayed.
Having started out life in the bottom Amateur division, it has been a rapid rise for the club and the achievements over our 17-year history have been nothing short of remarkable.
A lot of the credit goes to the players but the strong committee has been just as important.
With the majority of committee members being current or former players, they know exactly what it takes to be a part of JUFC. #iamyouarewearejufc
The current executive committee has around 70 years of combined experience with the club and has taken great strides to make sure that JUFC continues to head in the right direction.
A lot of our success can be put down to the culture we strive to promote and the strong sense of community we hold as a club, from our juniors through to our 45s, including amateur, State, and NPL teams.
There are many challenges ahead for what is still a relatively young club, but we are all very excited about what the future has to offer.
