CORRIGAN AND ROBBO SIGN FOR UNITED

JOONDALUP UNITED FOOTBALL CLUB has confirmed another two players for our 2022 campaign with the signing of Matt Corrigan and Alex Roberston.

Nineteen-year-old Corrigan joins former teammate Gavin Knight at JUFC as he too departs newly promoted National Premier League side Stirling Lions FC after being part of their 2021 title winning squad.

Meanwhile, right-back Robertson drives down Marmion Avenue from Joondalup City having a previous stint with Joondalup United in 2019.

“Both players are technically very good and add further quality to our squad,”said head coach Nick Jennings.

“I look forward to work with them for the upcoming season,”added Jennings, who is in 7th season in the role.

Corrigan is looking forward to the challenge and hoping to give his best to the squad.

“I’m looking forward contributing on the park and also working with the squad,” said Corrigan, who played with Quinns FC before his move to Macedonia Park.

Alex Robertson

Robertson is happy to return to the team and to work with Jennings again.

“I’m delighted with the opportunity to return to the other side of Joondalup and pull on the navy blue shirt again, it’s a club with ambition and a good all round culture. I’m also looking forward to catching up with some old team mates and kicking off the season,”said Robertson.

“Both are motivated players with a great positive attitude and I am confident of their professionalism they bring to the squad will be vital to put us in the direction towards our objectives,”said club president Ghaz Ramli, who also welcomed both players.
