Striker Jamie Gibson has put pen to paper and will return to Joondalup United for the 2020 Football West State League season.

Gibson last played for the club in the 2018 National Premier League (NPL) campaign, scoring five times in ten games, before playing a season with Carramar FC in the Amateur League.

He netted 24 goals in Division Two to finish as the second top scorer, and also captained Carramar in the Amateur Cup Final against Premier Division winners Kingsley SC.

Despite the 6-2 defeat, Gibson performed superbly and scored both of his side’s goals in the first half.

Originally from Scotland, Gibson played for Easthouses Lily MW, Berwick Rangers, Selkirk FC and Gala Fairydean Rovers before moving to Perth where he also turned out for Stirling Lions in the NPL.

JUFC are delighted to welcome him back to the club and he will be a huge asset next year.

More State League signings will be announced over the next few weeks.
