Joondalup United’s Amateur Premier Division squad put their weekend off to good use by working with Right at Home Perth North Suburbs to help members of the community.
Right at Home Perth North Suburbs provides in home services and assistance for seniors, adults with a disability or chronic health condition, and those recovering from surgery, allowing them to maintain their independence while receiving care.
Around 25 of the amateurs visited locations across the Perth last Sunday to do some manual labour for company’s clients.
Activities included painting, landscaping, gutter cleaning, hedge trimming, lawn mowing, sweeping, and power washing, and even the bad weather couldn’t put a dampener on the day.
“On behalf of Right at Home Perth Northern Suburbs and our wonderful clients, we would like to thank JUFC for going above and beyond helping our community,” said Helen Green, the company’s managing director.
“Your willingness, kindness and enthusiasm to go that extra mile to brighten people’s day and put smiles on all their faces was overwhelming.
“It truly was memorable for all of us and your generosity to give up your time is priceless, thank you so much from all at Right at Home Perth Northern Suburbs.”
Right at Home Perth Northern Suburbs is the Amateur Premier Division kit sponsor and first team coach Ben Williams was only too happy for JUFC to give something in return for their backing.
“Our major sponsor does great work and we are very grateful for the support so I thought it would do the players and coaching staff good to give back to the community,” he said.
“Everyone was excellent throughout the day and enjoyed the experience so I think the players took a lot out of the exercise, as well as the clients who had some much needed chores done around their homes.”
Once the jobs were done the lads were treated to a nice cup of tea and a chat for their efforts, a great end to a day well spent.
