Joondalup United’s preparations for the 2018 PS4 National Premier League (NPL) season continued this week with the signing of hot prospect Elliot Tattersall.
The 19-year-old moves to JUFC from Perth Soccer Club where he was an integral part of their title-winning 20s side in 2017.
JUFC coach Nick Jennings expressed his delight at picking up a player who had attracted interest from other NPL clubs.
“Elliot is an exciting young prospect whom a number of NPL teams where chasing, so I’m delighted to have secured his signature for the 2018 season,” said Jennings.
“He was a standout last year in the Perth 20s team that lifted the league crown and featured on a number of occasion in their first team squad.
“A technical, attacking left sided player, he is a great addition for JUFC as we move forward into our second year in the NPL.”
Having put pen to paper on a deal to move to the northern suburbs, Tattersall said that the chance to play first team football was too good to turn down.
“Nick and I talked about possible opportunities and I trusted him; if I work hard and show promise those opportunities will come,” he said.
“I hope to play a good year of first team football with JUFC and contribute to the club as best I can so that, as a team, we can have a successful and enjoyable season.”
The former Balcatta and Sorrento man is sure to excite JUFC supporters next season with his attack-minded attitude, as well as pace and flare in the final third.
