Midfield maestro McDonald re-signs

MIDFIELD MAESTRO Brad McDonald has confirmed his spot with Joondalup United Football Club next season.

McDonald bagged both the Player’s Player Award and the Coach’s Player Award for his performance in the 2021 season.

The playmaker, a key member of the Top 4 Cup winning squad McDonald is looking to build on the momentum for the upcoming season.

“It was good to finish off with the Top 4 Cup win at the end and I am looking forward to build on our performance in the league,”said the 33-year-old.

“I would like to thank the coaches Nick (Jennings) and Steve (Flint) for the opportunity once again and looking forward working with them and the other coaching staff for next year,”he added.

Head coach Nick Jennings in delighted to have McDonald to his side after his sterling performance on the pitch.

“Brad brings a wealth of experience to the playing group and last year led by example both on the training pitch and on match days. I look forward to a repeat of the form for which he was rewarded with the double player of the year awards,” said Jennings.

“Brad has been an important addition to the team and a great person to have around the club. He leads by example on and off the pitch and one of the best players we have for our juniors to look up to as role model. Certainly an asset to the club,” said club president Ghaz Ramli.
