Both Buckley and Taylor, who are current State side players have over 20 years combined experience in the club, while being part of its rise from an amateur side to the NPL outfit.

With importance placed on the pathway progression of players, Buckley is looking forward towards the challenge.

Currently back in the State side after a stint with our Amateur and Masters sides, Buckley has also been coaching JUFC juniors.

“I understand the importance of developing juniors and also working closely with coaches to achieve the best for these players. It is important that we have an objective we want to achieve and work towards it as a team and I am keen on the challenge,” said Buckley, whose wife, son and daughter play for JUFC too.

Former club captain Taylor is also looking forward towards his new role.

“Development is key for younger players but in an environment, which is fun and educational to improve their football mindset,” said Taylor whose family also wear JUFC colours.

A key player in club’s promotion to the highest level, Tony understands the importance of working on the younger generation to mould them and get them ready for the higher-level football as they get older.

‘’Adam (Buckley) and Tony (Taylor) are no strangers to JUFC. Being involved in almost all aspects of the club, both understand the importance of instilling the club’s playing identity in the next generation,” said club vice-president Ghaz Ramli.

“Football is constantly developing, and we need to be able to keep up with the technology and techniques of today without compromising the club’s ethos – the JUFC way. On behalf of the club, I would like to congratulate and wish both of them the best in their tasks ahead,” he added.
